Spring & Fall Clean Up
Spring Clean Up
- Begins in March or April (weather permitting)
- All lawn areas will be power swept, power vacuumed or hand raked to clean leaves and debris from turf areas
- All areas such as shrub beds, building foundations, and around obstacles will be cleaned by power blowing or hand raking to remove leaves and debris
- All sidewalks will be swept or power blown to remove accumulated sand from snow removal activities
Fall Clean Up
- Usually done when most leaves are down (late October early November).
- Clean up will include removal of fallen leaves and debris onto lawn area, landscaped beds, walkways and driveway by means of power sweeping, power blowing, power vacuuming, power mulching or hand raking
Weekly Mowing
We pride ourselves on our ability to make your lawn look its best and with the commercial grade mowers that we use, a perfect cut is guaranteed. All grass areas will be cut and trimmed to a height that will promote a healthy lawn (height may vary during the growing season depending on the weather and other conditions). Mowing services are provided weekly for both residential and commercial clients.
In some jobs, not being noticed is a good thing, like with grass and weed trimming. No one looks at a freshly cut lawn and says “Wow look at how nice the weed trimming looks!” It just doesn’t happen. But if the grass and weeds aren’t properly taken care of the lawn looks unfinished. When the grass and weeds are properly taken care of then the lawn looks well-manicured and healthy, and no one notices the weeds.
Weekly Mowing Services Include:
- Mowing of designated grounds will be done once every seven (7) days during the growing season (weather permitting) to maintain a well-kept appearance during the growing season
- Mowing height will be approximately 3 inches but subject to adjustment due to weather conditions at the discretion of Sauve’s Outdoor Services
- Trimming around house, flower beds, and other yard obstacles will be completed with each mowing to insure a well-kept appearance
- Sidewalks and driving surfaces will be blown to remove excess grass clippings following each mowing
- Excessive grass clippings in the lawn area will be dispersed or removed by means of blowing, vacuuming, or sweeping. These methods will leave the turf areas with an acceptable appearance

Basic Care Program – 5 Step Lawn Fertilization Service
Early Spring (April - May)
Blended fertilizers are applied to enhance spring green-up and root development for increased turf density, pre-emergent barrier for the control of crabgrass and grassy weeds. Broad leaf weed control applied as needed.
Spring (May - June)
Treatment: Slow-release fertilizers are applied for controlled color and growth. We also perform a second application of pre-emergent crabgrass barrier for prolonged control. Inspection: Broad leaf weed control and surface-feeding insect control as needed.

Core Aeration
By opening up these spots on your lawn, the soil is able to:
- Absorb and maintain more air for greater oxygen absorption
- Allows water to soak in for better plant growth
- Provide spots for organic matter which nourishes the grass
What is Core Aeration?
Core aeration is a process designed to supply your lawn with more nutrients and room to grow, so that the soil itself is better able to support your grass blades. A gas-powered device is rolled over the entirety of your lawn, and metal tubes attached to the device penetrate your lawn several inches deep and remove plugs of thatch and soil from the ground.
These plugs are deposited on the surface of your lawn to be re-absorbed as nutrients. The remaining holes provide several advantages for helping your lawn get stronger.
